A two year American Heart Certification course.

This class is for non hospital, nonmedical workers. This is appropriate for any workplace safety team, teachers, coaches.

This 6 hour course includes a three hour general first Aid This course includes the General Principles of First Aid (contents of a first aid kit, when to call 911, the chain of survival, confidentiality, incident reports), Medical Emergencies (chest pain, heart attack, fainting, diabetes and low blood sugar, stroke and seizure), Injury Emergencies (bleeding you can see, and bleeding you can't, penetrating objects, shock, head and spine injury, injuries to bones, joints, and muscles and burns, and Environmental Emergencies (bites and stings, heat stroke, heat exhaustion, and poison emergencies).

This class also includes the Adult, Child, and Infant CPR, Adult and Child AED (Automated External Defibrillator), appropriate intervention for the conscious and unconscious Adult, Child, and Infant Choking Victim. The class is a fun, interactive, informative class. Everyone will have their own mannequins offering lots of practice. In addition, everyone will be given an opportunity to have hands on the AED.
